Lourd Vijay’s Dance Studio became my second home over the past two years. Not only because I spent so much time there, but also because the people there seemed to be as close as family. From my first salsa class when I was 14 till today every moment I have spent in the studio has made indelible memories! I have had the honor and privilege to have been taught by some of the most proficient, warm, patient, inspiring and motivating instructors here who had me do steps I only used to dream of being able to do!
The positive energy, the enthusiasm, the passion and the great crowd in and outside class makes this place hard to stay away from! LVDS is the only place that can bring that inner dancer out to its fullest potential! How every class here is so incredibly fun and exhilarating and yet equally productive is amazing. LVDS is an institution that is beyond comparison and I can personally say that I have had the time of my life here.

The “lourd of the dance” His teaching style and enthusiasm is such that you know his goal is truly for you to be the best dancer you can be. His group classes are clear, concise and fun! Under His guidance we have gone from novice dancers to ahem.. intermediate.. and that for us is an achievement. A teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you on to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called truth…. So much so that sometimes we changed his name to Rude Vijay…. He provides a thorough understanding of all aspects of dancing - body movement, the "feel" of the dance, and the overall theory of each step. He is incredibly knowledgeable and always explains why and how a step works. He has this amazing ability to know exactly what works to make you dance better than you ever thought you could--and best of all, you have GREAT FUN in the process! Spoilt with Lourd we are now and no other teacher will suffice ! Cant wait for the next set of dance lessons to begin!

Who would have thought that a two hour salsa workshop conducted by LVDS would be the beginning of my passion for Latin dance, not me.
How is it that when you watch a professional dancer, it looks so easy? That’s because behind every good dancer is a school like LVDS. I said ‘like’ LVDS as there is no school quite like it.
Lourd Vijay and his instructors are always available to give you the extra tip and guidance that one needs to have for the right moves. There are lots of practice opportunities and the salsa socials and other events organised by LVDS exclusively for its students are something to watch out for as it’s a great way to socialise and make friends. The one thing that is most notable is that all the instructors have an entertaining way of teaching and LVDS is probably the only place in Bangalore which provides its students the distinctive prospect of learning several forms of dance all under one roof from professionally trained instructors.
Everyone should be lucky enough to learn to dance at LVDS. Tell your friends!!!

LVDS is the best place to learn Salsa in Bangalore. I learnt from the master himself lourd...and have had the best time ever. The classes are always fun and filled with just not 1234, but with actual techniques and what different styles are. The congress that LVDS organises year on year is a fantastic opportunity for amateurs, professionals and novices alike to meet and learn from international performers. The whole event is a lot of fun and big long party. The socials equally are a miniature congress themselves....
Great to be part of the LVDS family....great going guys...you do a wonderful job to keep the passion of dance alive!!
