Anirvan Lal​

​

Anirvan is a freelance dancer, choreographer and dance instructor, specialising in Classical Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary. He holds a degree in Dance and Musical Theatre from the Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts in the U.K. (validated by Trinity College, London). He was awarded a full scholarship for this 3 year full time vocational training. Prior to this he has also trained, performed and taught for The Lewis Foundation of Classical Ballet, Bangalore and the India Fernando Ballet Company, Delhi.

Anirvan’s repertoire includes ballets like Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and others. As a freelancer he has performed with companies like Nritarutya at prestigious events like ‘Make in India’ Mumbai and Germany, the Goa arts festival ‘Serendipity’ and the 2016 Pro Kabaddi Finale in Delhi. He is appeared in the Bollywood feature film ‘Mirziya’. He has been a part of the musical ‘West Side Story’ at the Gardyene Theatre, Scotland and performed at The Royal Variety Show with famous Pop icon Robbie Williams at the Palladium Theatre, London.

Anirvan was awarded best dancer and runners up for best choreography and best emerging artist at the Short and Sweet Contemporary Dance Competition. He has over 5 years’ experience as a dance instructor, having taught in institutions like The Yana Lewis Dance Academy, Latin Dance India, Lourd Vijay’s Dance Studio, Bangalore School of Performing Arts, Tarantismo, LFRD, Springwood International School and many others.
