More than 35 years old, hip-hop dance became widely known after the first professional breaking, locking, and popping crews formed in the 1970s. Hip-hop dance refers to dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles notably breaking, locking, and popping which were created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States.
Benefits: Today hip-hop dance is recognized by dancers and trainers alike as an alternate form of exercise. Many of the hip-hop movements isolate the abs, so this area really gets a good muscle-sculpting workout.
